Leaders in the sector have told us they need extra support with this, so we’ve worked with them to create Leading the Movement, funded by The National Lottery, with a vision to 'create a diverse, thriving, community of leaders who are supported, empowered, skilled and united in the movement to tackle inequalities in sport and physical activity’.

There are several different aspects to our offer, some deliberately targeted at officers and Board members working within specific organisations, others for all leaders to access.
Our website tells you everything you need to know about our offer. It’s also full of helpful information and resources designed to support leaders at every stage of their journey. For some, it will aid learning and development, for others it will act as a helpful check and challenge of what they’re already doing and an opportunity to get and stay connected.
We’ll share inspirational stories and ideas, showcase what’s going on across the sector and signpost you to opportunities and organisations that can help you continue to build your network.

Leading the Movement is about recognising that we all have a role to play in tackling the inequalities within sport and physical activity.
Being a leader isn’t determined by job titles or seniority, it’s about wanting to make a difference, creating change and opening up opportunities for more people to live active lives. If you work to tackle these inequalities, or you support the people that do, then you're part of ‘Leading the Movement’.
