Group mentoring
Group mentoring is ideal for leaders who would like to be mentored, but do not want or feel the need to be individually mentored, and who enjoy and thrive in a group environment, keen to learn from others.
To make the most of group mentoring a leader will need to be:
- Comfortable and confident to listen as well as to share.
- Willing to support others to learn and develop while developing themselves.
- Excited and energised by engaging with other people.
- Appreciative of and able to benefit from the different perspectives each mentee will bring.
As with individual mentoring, the mentor in group mentoring plays a fundamental role in maximising the personal and professional development of each mentee in the group.
Available to system partners

What's involved?
Leaders must be able to fully commit and attend all three programme sessions to make the most of the time donated by the mentor. Each session builds upon the last as the group works together towards finding solutions to the shared opportunity or challenge.
The group mentoring programme, with a group of up to five leaders, typically lasts for three-to-four months and involves:
A 25-minute welcome call and a 40-minute upskilling video. Mentees are matched to the challenge.
A set of three sessions of two hours each as a group with an appropriate mentor to match the challenge.
A 90-minute reflective learning session with other mentors and mentees to share learnings from the experience.
You can view our upcoming group mentoring dates, topics and leading mentors on our events page, look out for blue events marked ‘Group mentoring’.
